Support Program

Almost two-thirds of African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) people living with HIV (PHAs) in Ontario live in Toronto. With a growing number of Black people living with HIV, organizations like Black CAP are required to provide services to address increasingly complex care needs related to access to health care and treatment, disclosure, criminalization, nutrition, housing and others.

The program works to increase the capacity of PHAs to improve their own health and quality of life. The program also recognizes how challenging disclosure can be and the importance of privacy and confidentiality about one’s HIV status in Toronto’s Black community.
