GetaKit – HIV Self Testing Kit Promo Material

After months of hard work and dedication, we are delighted to officially announce GetaKit by Black CAP is here and is now accessible by African Caribbean Black gay/ bisexual men and transmen who have sex with men (gbMSM).
GetaKit by Black CAP is an HIV self-testing which seeks to:
- increase HIV testing and frequency of testing,
- the number of African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) gay, bisexual, transmasculine identified individuals and men who have sex with men (gbMSM) to know their status and increased.
- linkage to treatment and care and decreasing HIV transmission.
With this new, exciting, and innovative initiative; ACB (gbMSM) identified folx are now able to visit the GetaKit by Black CAP website, assess their eligible to participate in the study, register, complete a baseline survey and order FREE HIV self-test kits, which are delivered to participants’ home or address of choice. The kit and website also provide detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to take the test.
GetaKit by Black CAP also provides an outreach and education aspect to the program specifically geared to health promotion though bi-weekly drop-in sessions specifically for ACB (gbMSM) identified folx. These drop-in sessions seek to create a safe space for ACB (gbMSM) to interact access information about GetaKit by Black CAP with the underlining intent to contribute to changing attitudes, and addressing stigma and increasing the user access to GetaKit by Black CAP.
